Ive taken 5 class with WLTAC this year, 3 last year and been recommending them to anyone that will listen. Very fair pricing, encourages all kinds of shooters to give them a chance; I think ive convinced more people to take their fundamentals courses because of that alone. Also as you advance in complexity with WLTAC, the Instructor to student ratio lets me feel extremely safe, knowing that myself and every other student has at least one set of eyes on them at any one time. I highly recommend Warlizard Tactical (WLT) as a firearms training resource for anyone at any skill level. I started with the Pistol Fundamentals course about two years ago. I’ve also taken the WLT Basic Shotgun, Defensive Pistol , Basic Lifesaving I and some survival courses. My experiences with WLT have been entirely positive. I took the Pistol Fundamentals course several times before I passed it and I took it several more times after passing. The course is priced at just $45 specifically to encourage students to take it again and again to perfect their basic fundamentals. The instructors won’t flatter you with phony praise. You won’t be allowed to progress into higher level courses until you demonstrate proficiency and safety with the skills taught at each level. At the same time, if you do receive criticism it will be friendly and constructive, not intimidating or humiliating. The core teaching method is they explain a skill, then demonstrate it, and finally you do the skill with an instructor or Range Safety Officer (RSO) looking over your shoulder and giving advice. The classroom portion of the Pistol Fundamentals course delivers a wealth of information covering an array of topics. Bring a notebook and pen. There is not room here for much detail but in my experience the instructors and RSOs have gone way out of their way to help me with specific issues I've had. They all have demonstrated a sincere desire for students to succeed and develop stronger skills. I took The Pistol Fundamentals Course on 9/13/25. Joel and his team are very laid back people while extremely competent and aware of their task at hand. They make you feel very comfortable and safe as they lead the class through various drills. This team knows what they are doing and how to do it. Experts with interpersonal skills. Greg (the lead instructor) took some extra time with me and my small Ruger LCR (revolver) and even allowed me to fire off six rounds from his much bigger 357 revolver. Taking a Course like this might seem a little intimidating to the average guy or gal. Please don't be. These guys are pros and only want to help you and they will meet you where you are.
